Early life and education

Larissa is born on 19 December 1992 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. During her school days, Larissa was a shy, chubby, reserved little girl with very big dreams. Since her childhood, she was very much inclined towards art and craft. She completed her schooling at Holy Cross Convent High School. Larissa aced her SSC exam with 84%, but she couldn't make it to the high school of her dreams. She opted for science in her 11th grade with the dream of becoming a doctor but somewhere the fire for art was still alive in teenage Larissa. So she decided to prepare for the entrance exam of "J.J. School Of Arts" with the dream of becoming a graphic designer. But Larissa failed again. For the second time, she failed to achieve what she had planned for her life. After getting failed to enter the college of her dream, Larissa decided to do a diploma course from L.S. Raheja School of Art and Visual Communication.


Larissa's Passion For Art And her crafty venture "We Love Customade".

During her college, Larissa started exploring a lot of different things. She started modeling, making customized products, and started selling them online. She also won a photo contest on Facebook and continued her modeling. But later she fled the idea of becoming a model behind after participated in Pantaloons fresh face contest and getting kicked off in the first round. She was sad and disheartening but this time she decided to do something she is good at.

So in 2012, Larissa started the Facebook page" We Love Customade". She used to customize umbrellas, sunglasses, and a lot of different things. Larissa also picked up tattooing during her college. After finalizing her diploma Larissa continued with " We Love Customade" for the next two years. And in 2014 she took her business one step ahead by creating a fully-fledged website for "We Love Customade". Back then she also received media recognition as a budding entrepreneur for " We Love Customade". But gradually Larissa realized that she should move to some real job because she has no plan to scale her business. So with a very heavy heart, Larissa decided to quit " We Love Customade".


YouTube Journey- The ultimate Hustle.

On 27 August 2014 Larissa started her YouTube career by posting her first YouTube video “What’s in my fab bag?". Well, she just posted 5 videos in the year 2014. In February 2015, Larissa joined MissMalini Publishing Pvt Ltd. as a senior graphic designer after quitting her business. During the same year, she attended Fan Fest 2015 and got a chance to meet Bethany Mota. And this inspires her to work harder on her YouTube channel. After three months, she quit her job at MissMalini and joined a new company Crowdfire as a graphic designer. During her job, Larissa kept on working over her YouTube channel. After working in that company for one and a half years Larissa was expelled overnight. She was fired without any former notice. But this time she bounced back. She worked very hard on her YouTube channel and gave her best.

Today Larissa has 507K subscribers on YouTube and 546K followers on Instagram. She is one of the popular content creators in the digital space.



Struggles behind the success

Behind every big success, there is a string of struggles. Larissa too has faced a lot of challenges before tasting success in her life. She had suffered bullying during school time. Most of the days she came home from school with teary eyes. Even before starting her own YouTube channel, Larissa worked in an MNC in the year 2014 but later quit that job due to creative differences with the team.

In one of her YouTube videos, Larissa also opened about the challenges she faced during COVID. She talked about mental health, and the lonely feelings she confronted during the lockdown.

Larissa is a founder of "Feliz- fun days only", an online store of unique stationery.

Larissa was awarded the best travel influencer for the year 2019-20.

Larissa delivered a TEDx talk on "Failure and things it does to you" at TEDxBellandur.

"When failure comes at you acknowledge it and then rise from it and come back with the better plan or idea and tackle it very smartly. Remember that your journey is not going to be something that you ever wanted but it's going to be something that you need."
