Women empowerment in India

While writing this article I really don't have any intention to change the mentality of those people who even in the 21st century thinks that women are not worth for anything because Kalpana Chawla flying into space, Indira Gandhi becoming the Prime Minister and Mary Kom winning the eight World Championship can't change their mind then who am I. So let's use this opportunity for people like you and me who really want to change the scenario and have the desire to improve the current situation. Before moving further over the issue we necessarily need to ask one question to ourselves that is women really need to be empowered?  I mean our mothers who are working continuously for their families without salary, break, and holidays, is she needs to be empowered? Or a working woman who is balancing between her family and finances, she needs to be empowered? Or uneducated women in a rural area who is surviving domestic violence but still sticking to her family responsibilities, is she needs to be empowered? All these women have great power inside them so we shouldn't talk about empowering them we must talk about enlighting or sparking their inner power so they can light up our society, country, and world.
Gender inequality is a worldwide issue but condition becomes even worse when it comes to India because our country ranks at a 112th position in the world economic forum global gender gap index 2019-20. Crimes, like female foeticide, child marriage, domestic violence, rape, acid attack, dowry death, sexual assault, an insult to modesty, kidnapping, abduction, and trafficking has made India one of the most unsafe countries for women around the world. But despite all this, our women have established themselves by giving a contribution of 27.2 percent in the total labor force of the country, 14.5% in parliament, and 26% in software industries. There is no doubt in the fact that these values are far apart from the ideal situation which expects the equal contribution of women and men in every field but it at least shows that women of our country have the potential and talent to improve the worldwide position of India around the world. In every field from education to entrepreneurship, from agriculture to aerospace, from politics to philanthropy, from business to Bollywood, from the sports to startups,  Indian women are shining everywhere. And women like Rani Laxmi bai, Kasturba Gandhi, mother Teresa, lata Mangeshkar, Sushma Swaraj, Arunima Sinha, Hima das, Manushi chillar has proved this fact every time. Women of India need the country for their growth but more than that our country needs women for economic and global growth of our nation around the world because 48.04% of the Indian population is women. More than supporting women, we should pay attention to the fact that every woman should become her own support. Every woman should be independent in mental, emotional, physical, and financial terms so that she can fight her own battles and face the world with a fearless attitude.
Self-sufficient women are key to the success of modern India. As the native of this nation, it's our duty to make sure that any women around us shouldn't stop to follow her dreams, shouldn't lose her freedom, shouldn't be deprived of her rights just because she is a woman.
